Fear, Pray, Act
Tonight we will be preaching through Genesis 32:1-21. As Jacob heads back home he must first pass through his brother Esau’s land. When Jacob left his homeland, twenty years prior, his brother wanted him dead. Jacob still believes that this is the case, so as he approaches Esau’s land he seeks to appease his brother. Jacob is initially struck with fear, but immediately turns to prayer. His prayer is a beautiful model prayer for us today. Jacob’s own response to prayer serves to instruct us today as well. Join us as we walk through these verses tonight.
