This Fall we are diving into The Gospel Project. This curriculum has been three years in the making by pastors and theologians like Matt Chandler, Ed Stetzer, D.A. Carson, Daniel Akin, James MacDonald, and others. This curriculum is a three year curriculum designed to take us through the entire Bible. The empahsis of the series it to show how the entire narrative of Scripture points to Jesus and His death and resurrection. Through this series we will see how Jesus is the point of all of Scripture (not us) and we will be encouraged to see that Jesus alone is meant to be our deepest joy.
This is an offering for folks who desire to go deeper into Scripture and have robust dialogue with other Christians around God's Word. Our desire is that this series will help us become more mature followers of Christ and lovers of God's Word. We will have a women's study and a men's study that meets every other week. Our kids will also be studying the Gospel Project in our Village Kids service on Sunday nights during our worship gatherings.
The Gospel Project series begins Monday night, January 14th for the men and Monday night, January 21st for the women. Both groups will meet at the church (415 Thurman Ave.) from 8:00-9:30 p.m. on rotating weeks.

Every quarter we’ll have a night dedicated to going deeper on a specific topic that is both Biblically relevant and a major issue within our culture. We believe that in order to engage our communities well we must understand what the major issues are that affect their lives. We also believe that Scripture teaches us how we are to view and understand our world around us. These nights seek to bring these two worlds together. Each quarter we’ll engage in a challenging discussion around the chosen topic and then dig into what Scripture has to say about that topic. Quite often the topics we’ll be discussing are divisive issues that have created great debates for many years, so our aim will be to allow for a grace-filled discussion where all sides are allowed a voice, but where the truth of Scripture has the final say. Our desire is that these nights bring folks together from many different backgrounds to engage in robust discussion and ultimately hear what Scripture has to say about each issue (whether they agree with Scripture or not). Some topics that you might hear discussed are sexuality, divorce, parenting, media, creation vs. evolution, politics, war, etc...
We will always provide coffee and snacks and hope folks might even go out to grab a meal/drink together afterwards to continue the discussion. Childcare will also always be provided.
Our next Theology & Culture night is...TBA
Every week after our worship gathering we share a meal together. Some weeks it's potluck, some weeks it's a homemade dish, and other weeks we order out, but there's always great food and great conversation. Plan to join us for dinner after our weekly gathering.
