Leading To Bitterness
Tonight we are looking at Genesis 27:41-28:9. In a continuation of the account from last week, we shift our attention primarily to Esau. As we saw last week, exposed sin can, by God’s grace, lead to repentance. We saw this clearly in Isaac’s life last week and we know that it is to come in Jacob’s life as well. However, exposed sin doesn’t always lead to repentance. Often, sin exposed can lead to bitterness and a hardness of heart. Esau is the clear of example of this in these verses. In fact, Esau becomes a warning to all followers of Christ to not leave their hearts untended. Join us as we look at this passage and examine our own hearts and minds in an attempt to flee from bitterness to a softness of heart that leads us into Christ’s forgiveness.
