Leading To Repentance

Tonight we will be studying Genesis 27:1-40. These verses tell us the somewhat familiar story of Rebekah & Jacob’s deception of Isaac. Despite the promise of God assuring the family that Jacob would be the heir to the promise, both mother & son felt it necessary to take matters into their own hands. The sin of the entire family is on display for us all to see. In tonight’s passage and the verses that we’ll study next week we find that sin revealed in our lives can have one of two results: repentance or bitterness. Tonight, we’ll see how sin revealed can, by God’s grace, lead us to repentance.
