Prayer & Redemption

Why pray?  Does it change anything?  Doesn't God already know what He's going to do?  These are normal questions that we've all asked when it relates to how prayer and God's sovereignty work together.  In tonight's passage, Acts 12:1-19, we find a story where we see God working through the ordinary means of His people to do extraordinary things.  God, in His sovereignty, not only ordains the ends but also the means by which those ends are met.  In this passage we find that one of those means is often time prayer.  Join us as we look at this amazing story and see what we can learn about faithful prayer in the church.
