Lessons Learned

Tonight we are preaching through Genesis 29:1-30. In these verses find Jacob getting a taste of his own medicine in the midst of a beautiful love story. There is temptation, when walking through events like these, to see them as meaningless or simply as punishment for previous sin. While Jacob is certainly experiencing some discipline in this story, he would have been shortsighted to only see the discipline. God, in His grace, never allows situations to occur without significant lessons being learned. What was Jacob to learn? How was it meant to transform him? What are we to learn and how is it to change us? Join us as we walk through these verses to answer these questions.
