Purposed Plight

Tonight we close out Genesis 39 by looking at verses 19-23. In these final verses Jospeh is sent to prison by Poitphar. Despite yet another setback for Joseph we find God’s faithfulness remains over Joseph’s life and further success is found by Joseph in prison. While Joseph continues to find himself in the midst of another plight, he is again reminded that God continues to be present and at work in the midst of this plight. In fact, this plight strengthens Joseph. This is what we must learn and understand in this moment of Joseph’s life; that God’s purposes these moments for our growth. How our situations would change if we were continually trying to understand how God is teaching and growing us in the midst of our struggle. Join us as we look at this passage together.
