The Condescension

Tonight we move to Philippians 2. Over the next several weeks we will look at Philippians 2:1-11. In these verses Paul is calling the church to be unified and work to love and serve one another. The foundation of this call is found in Paul’s "Christological Hymn” in verses 5-11. For Paul, his heart for the church to know Christ continues and he bases their call to obedience on who Christ is and what He’s accomplished. Tonight we look at the first part of Christ’s work that Paul is wanting the church to understand: Christ’s condescension. Join us as we study this foundation doctrine and its significance for the Church today.
