Light of the World

Today we are looking at John 8:12-20. At the beginning of today’s passage Jesus give one of His seven great “I am” statements. Connected to this statement is a dialogue with the Pharisees that helps emphasize Jesus statement that He is the light of the world. Why does Jesus make this statement here?
