Always Pleasing

John 8:28-29 is our sermon text for this Lord’s Day and in these verses we find Jesus connecting His crucifixion with that which is pleasing to the Father. How are we to understand the cross? It is popular today to see the cross as God’s “Plan B,” His reaction to the evil actions of a mob or as “cosmic child abuse.” A look at Scripture shows us, though, that the cross is God’s good and pleasing will and eternal plan for the redemption of His people. Join us as we look at these verses and others to see how we should rightly understand the cross of Christ.
