Faithful & Bold Action

Tonight we will be preaching through Nehemiah 2:1-20. In these verses we find Nehemiah gaining an audience with the King Artaxerxes. Before Nehemiah present his request to the king we find him praying yet again. A man action, Nehemiah finds his first action always in prayer. This is what defines Nehemiah in tonight’s text. His posture of prayer shows him to be a humble, submissive man of God who understands that it is God’s power that will ultimately propel Nehemiah to aid his Jewish brethren.
