The Wall

Nehemiah 3 recounts the details of who contributed the building of Jerusalem’s wall under Nehemiah’s leadership. A chapter with many names, most of them unknown to us today, and many details that seem dated and irrelevant causes us to ask why God has included Nehemiah 3 in the canon of Scripture. In the midst of all of the details we must remember that an actual wall was built and that the wall itself teaches us much about the people of God and what they need to be the people of God fleeing the wickedness of Babylon. Join us as we examine these ideas and strive to understand how gracious of a gift the wall is to God’s people.
