The Dismantling

Tonight we look at Acts 6:8-15.  In this passage Stephen is arrested for proclaiming Christ.  What we find is that Stephen is accused of preaching Jesus and His promise to destroy the temple.  These words of Jesus are a threat to the established Jewish religious system therefore they aim to get rid of Stephen.  Stephen seems unmoved by their threats and accusations, which causes us to ask why Stephen would be so committed to these teaching if Jesus.  As we explore this tonight we are reminded that what Jesus came to do was replace much of the old Jewish system.  Join us as we look at this important passage that will deepen our understanding of the Gospel.
