Witness

As we conclude John 5 today by looking at verses 30-47 we see Jesus offering a defense of His divine claims by putting witnesses forward that support his claim that He is the Christ, the Son of God. In this discourse Jesus systematically lays out why He is who He says He is and shows how the most important people and things all bear witness to this truth. While it is clear that any real belief on comes through Spirit-wrought faith, we see in Jesus’ claims that it makes perfect sense to commit your life to Jesus.
