This morning, as we conclude The Good Shepherd discourse, we will be looking at John 10:30-39 and the climactic ending of Jesus’ teaching. As we reach the end of this discourse we find Jesus clearly asserts that He is God. While this claim to divinity is not new in John’s gospel, this is certainly the clearest of such statement by Jesus. Why does He choose to do this here, as a part of The Good Shepherd teaching? What are the implications that follow from this claim? Why does this matter for us? Join us as we look at these verses in order to see how the divinity of The Son is seen in the fullness of His saving work.
