The Good Shepherd

This morning we begin John 10 and the account of Jesus as The Good Shepherd. In one of the most beloved teachings of Jesus in the gospels we find this imagery of Jesus as The Good Shepherd. In these opening verses we lay the groundwork for all that Jesus will say over the coming weeks. How do we understand the imagery of a shepherd throughout the Old Testament? What do the different elements in Jesus’ opening allegory represent? What is the spiritual meaning for us today? Join us as we examine these questions together as we preach through the opening six verses.
