Tonight we will be looking at Ezra 9:1-15. In this chapter Ezra begins to address the sin of the Jewish people, namely their intermarrying with foreigners. As this sin is exposed we find see in Ezra a posture and response that is deeply instructive for us today. While we can so easily become accustomed to “normal” church where we put on the facade of having it all together, we are called to be a people who embrace the reality of our sin. We embrace this reality for our own good, the witness of the Gospel and for the glory of God. Join us as we see Ezra’s posture toward sin and his prayer of confession as a model for us today in our own response to sin.
